Price & Earnings And Price & Dividends Momentum
| These two sets of graphs combine simplicity and insight. Momentum measures the rate of the rise or fall in value
range. From the standpoint of trending momentum is a very useful
indicator. It is the perceived strength behind a value's (price,
earnings, dividends, etc) movement. A value above 50
is perceived to be strong while a value below 50 is perceived to be
weak. The subject company's current Price Momentum, for the
selected period, is compared to its own historical values (for the same
duration) and then calculated into quartiles - where 1 is the
top (best) 25% of values, 2 the next 25%, 3 the next and 4 the lowest.
The same logic is applied to the subject company's current forecast
Earnings Momentum for the selected period. The two momentum values
(which are displayed to the right of their respective graph) are
then combined and plotted onto the respective graph. The same methodology is applied to the subject
company's current Price Momentum and current forecast Dividends
Momentum for the selected period. The provision of three graphs per set allows
comprehensive analysis of periods spanning from 7 days to 90 days.
Above each graph is located the period selector, Click on the drop down
arrow to view all available options. Choose the preferred period by
clicking on it. The graph will subsequently reflect your choice. |
